User menu - Preferences / Profile settings

In Moodle each user has their own profile and preferences menu where you can look at your own information and edit parts of it.

You can find your information and settings in the top right corner of the web page, bellow your user name.

Switch roles

In case you're on a open course in the role of a teacher, you will see in the user menu a choice "Switch role to..". With this choice you can see how the course looks from the students perspective by choosing the "Student" role. You can switch back to your normal role by choosing "Return to my normal role.." option from the user menu.
